Local Youth Gymnast Competes at Regionals

Lafayette resident Miranda Gold competed at the Level 8-10 Regional Championships in Sacramento on April 17-19. Top gymnasts from California, Arizona, Nevada and Utah participated in the meet. All gymnasts had to first qualify at local meets, and then their respective state championships before moving on to this regional meet.
Miranda has also competed nationally in the Talent Opportunity Program (TOPs), which is for age 11 and under gymnasts. That competition was held at the U.S. Women's Olympic Gymnastics Training Center in Texas.
Miranda has been a life-long resident of Lafayette and has been doing competitive gymnastics since she was in second grade at Happy Valley School. She trains at Edge Gymnastics in Dublin.
