Manual-Collecting Exercise Addict Strikes Lafayette, 5/7/10 On May 7, a Hidalgo Court resident fell victim to the Manual-Collecting Exercise Addict. The unknown suspect entered the victim's garage and handily opened the unlocked vehicle. Missing are the vehicle owner's manual and a gym bag with filled with exercise clothes. This loss is estimated to be $50.

Window Basher, 5/9/10 At some point during the night of May 8, a Kelly Court resident lost his car windows. An unknown vandal smashed the windows of the car with an unknown object. The motive behind this ignorant act is unknown.

Boating Enthusiast Wanted, 5/13/10 An unknown boating enthusiast with an affinity for other people's property made off with a boat and trailer from a Sweet Drive residence. The missing Boston Whaler boat with a Tohatsu 4-stroke engine and trailer is valued at $4,800. An alert neighbor witnessed a white male park and walk toward the victim's house before returning to his car but did not see him take the boat. The owner did not give anyone permission to take the boat.

Bicycle Thief, 5/16/10 A black Giant Boulder SE bike valued at $414 was stolen from the front of Noah's Bagels. The brand new bike was stolen within a 5-minute period in which the bike was left unattended. Given the number of cyclists in Lafayette, it was probably easy for the opportunistic thief to get lost in the crowd.
