Local Orinda resident and Del Rey Elementary student Edward Anaya recently won first place at the Six Weeks Spring Golf Tournament Series in Pleasanton. Anaya was the overall champion in the 10-year-old group. He won three-out-of-six and placed second in the other three golf tournaments. On May 15, Anaya also played the Grayson Woods Junior Classic. He tied for fifth place with other three boys. There were 32 of the best Bay Area Junior golfers in the tournament.
