Lafayette Little League's 9-year-old All-Stars capped their summer with the championship of the San Ramon Tournament. Lafayette defeated Tassajara Valley 12-2 in the championship game behind the dominant pitching of Nick Kresnak, Murphy Baker and Brett Donat. Luke Miles had three hits for the winners, and Nicholas Bamont and Colby Burns chipped in with two hits a piece. The local stars cruised through preliminary round play, notching victories by scores of 13-2, 6-2 and 15-5. The Nines finished their summer with a 13-5 record in tournament play.
