Technology Upgrade at Happy Valley Elementary School

It was like Christmas in June at Happy Valley Elementary School last week. Parents at Happy Valley Elementary took a survey and decided to spend money from the school's existing individual parent fund reserve account on refreshing the library and upgrading technology. With a significant discount from Apple, a set of iPads for the library were purchased along with one for each teacher. Teachers were given a handy adaptor to allow projection of images on a classroom screen. District technology coordinator Angie Corritone helped familiarize the teachers with this new tool, she explained: "The goal is student engagement and to bring out the best in our teachers."
