Moraga Police Blotter
Biking scofflaw, 3/19/10 At just after midnight, Moraga officers attempted to stop a subject riding a bike with no light on, at Canyon Road and Larch Avenue. Emergency lights were flashed as well as a siren, yet the cyclist continued pedaling. When cops rolled down the window and shouted "pull over" the kid kept pedaling, eventually throwing something into the bushes. Cops pulled up in front of the young person, who stopped and admitted he threw a jar containing marijuana in the bushes. The juvenile was counseled and release to his father at the scene.

College kid drunk, 3/21/10 St. Mary's Public Safety Officer called MPD for an intoxicated student. He was causing a disturbance in a parking lot on campus at 2:00 in the morning, and was arrested for being drunk in public. Stressed out from mid-terms? Too early for the loss to Baylor.

Car stolen, 3/21/10 Sometime between 8:00 p.m. on 3/21 and 7:30 a.m on 3/22 an unknown person removed a Camino Ricardo resident's green 2003 Acura MDX from her driveway without her permission and presumably kept on driving. Unfortunately the victim's purse containing several credit cards, gift cards and personal checks were inside the vehicle.

Auto burglary, 3/22/10 A Miramonte Drive resident reported that between 3/22/10 and 3/23/10 a mystery person broke the passenger side window on her 2006 Ford Explorer and stole a wallet and clutch purse containing I.D. and credit cards. Total loss estimated at $250. Interesting, the very next night a car broken into and wallet stolen - could there be a connection?
