Shanghai Show and Go!
A New Guide for English Speakers traveling to Shanghai, China, by Lafayette couple Song and Adam White.
Shanghai Show and Go, the 2nd in the collection of Show and Go!(tm) travel guides for China, is a handy pocketbook presenting a new idea in travel guides for people who don't know the local language. Each page shows a phrase that visitors want to communicate, and the book contains a small city map for quick reference and the basic words for a traveler to get around from day to day. Other pages include information on how to use Shanghai transportation (bus, subway, train, taxi), the local phone, and favorite Shanghai dishes. Song White is a language and cultural consultant. She came up with the idea for this book after having seen many travelers suffer and miss out on many fun activities due to the language barrier. Adam is an IT consultant and a frequent traveler. With the Shanghai World Expo 2010 just around the corner in May, this will be an indispensable travel companion for a trip to China. The book can be ordered from www.whitesongbooks.com.
