Orinda Police Blotter
Antique appraisal? 1/2/13 A 65-year-old Orinda resident discovered ammunition in his basement, and called police to dispose of it. Responders found 250 rounds of WW II era, anti-tank shell ammunition. Just to be on the safe side, OPD called in the 'big guns' in the form of a Travis Air Force Base explosive ordnance team. The team removed the ammunition from the site. It was taken to the Orinda evidence locker for subsequent destruction.

Warrant arrest, 1/6/13 A 26-year-old woman was arrested on two counts of outstanding warrants from Hayward and Alameda.

Good thing they checked, 1/7/13 Police making a welfare check on a 64-year-old male found him to be under the influence of alcohol. That is in violation of his terms of probation, so the man was transported and booked into Martinez Detention Facility.
