Lamorinda's 17 year olds began their summer at the Davis Legacy College Showcase, where they dominated the top flight G19 Super Group and took the podium as champions for the 3rd straight year. To achieve their "3-peat" the U-98s went undefeated throughout the tournament with a goal differential of 15-4, and delivered a shutout in the finals.

No time to rest on their laurels, the U98s quickly packed their bags and headed to The Gothia Cup in Gotenburg, Sweden. The U-98s were invited to compete for the prestigious Gothia Tipselit Trophy against eight elite teams from Sweden and eight international teams specially selected and invited by the Gothia Cup.

Lamorinda U98 was one of only two teams from the United States selected, the other being an "all star" team composed of East Coast club elite players.

Lamorinda U98 played teams from Sweden, Denmark and Germany; amassing a record of 5-1 overall to take the trophy, on 10-1 goal differential in the playoffs and delivering another shutout in the final. Seemingly no sooner than they landed back in the US, the U98s packed up again and headed down to the Superloco Surf Cup in Oceanside. Although exhausted, the U98s once again did battle in the highest level G19 Super Black division, where they went undefeated until falling on a late goal in the Semi-Finals. Lamorinda again demonstrated their superior skills on offense and defense, going 10-5 (2 to 1) on goal differential.
