With the new school year underway, the?Sydney Paige Foundation, founded by Moraga-mom Courtney Brockmeyer, has had an incredibly busy month. That's because there are tens of thousands of kids in underserved communities that depend on the Foundation to provide new, high-quality backpacks, school supplies and books to ensure they have the tools and confidence to be successful in school.??
In the past two-plus years of unprecedented circumstances, the Sydney Paige Foundation, like thousands of other organizations, has weathered slowdowns in deliveries and supply chain snafus, a shutdown at the port of Oakland, and inflationary cost increases in shipping and materials. In spite of these challenges, Sydney Paige is on track to serve 70,000 students this year, up from 55,000 last year, and on top of the 140,000 already served to date.??For information, visit www.sydneypaige.org
