Lamorinda’s Election Results – A Few New Faces
 (Below are semi-official election results from the Contra Costa County Elections Division as of 1:00am on 11/3/10. These results should be considered preliminary until the final vote is certified.)
City/Town Council incumbents have retained their seats in Lafayette and Moraga, but Orinda’s current mayor, Tom McCormick, has lost his seat to challenger Dean Orr.
Orinda witnessed the most hotly contested of the three local council elections. Incumbents Amy Worth and Sue Severson will return to their city council seats, although the preliminary results show Severson edging out challenger Scott Zeller by only 59 votes.
Perennial Council Member Don Tatzin came out on top in the Lafayette City Council election, and fellow incumbent Brandt Andersson also retained his seat despite a strong challenge from Traci Reilly.
In Moraga, incumbents Dave Trotter and Ken Chew won handily after a comparably mild election season.
In the school board races, incumbents Theresa Gerringer and Art Kapoor held on to their seats on the Lafayette Unified School District board by a healthy margin, and will be joined by new member David Gerson. There were no incumbents running for school board in Orinda; Julie Rossiter, Christopher Severson and Tyson Krumholz will be the new faces on the board of the Orinda Union School District.
