Submitted by Moraga Baseball Association

The Moraga Baseball Association's Mustang Championship game was played June 6 at St Mary's and pitted the third-seeded Giants against the fifth-seeded Yankees. The pitchers dominated early as Giant Jake Crumbaugh and Yankee Ben Powers registered six early strike outs. The Giants, led by Crumbaugh and Charlie Craig, then scored two runs in the second inning. The Yankees responded with seven runs with the attack led by Peter O'Donnell, Josh Flemming, Braden Maher and Blake Pollock. While the Giants fought back with three runs in the fourth inning, the Yankee bats came alive again with an additional nine runs, giving the Yankees a 17-5 win at the Mustang Championship game.
