Backyard Baseball gets Competitive

Grant Malmquist and Ben Stoddard decided to spend their summer playing baseball. So, they organized, ran, and played on the baseball team that they put together with their friends. The Lafayette Yetis played in the two-day tournament hosted by All-World Baseball in Fremont on August 24-25.
Highlights: Gareth Kwok went 2-for-5, 1 RS, and 5 stolen bases; Grant Malmquist went 2-for-4, RS, 1 RBI, 8 stolen bases; Eddy Burns went 1-for-5 and pitched 4 shutout innings.
