Spring is a busy sports season for Lamorinda high schools. The girls' programs had strong showings this year. No fewer than two Lamorinda girls' programs earned berths in the North Coast Section postseason for each sport. Outstanding individual athletes were honored for their hard work and impressive feats by the Diablo Foothill Athletic League. Boys' honors to come in the July 2 issue.
The Lamorinda girls' lacrosse programs all qualified for the North Coast Section Playoffs this season. Campolindo (7-11) earned a No. 6 spot and a first round bye. The Cougars lost 8-15 to No. 3 Miramonte (13-2) in the second round. The Mats advanced to the semifinals, but fell 13-9 to No. 2 Piedmont.

The overall No. 1 seed, Acalanes (15-6), cruised to the finals against Piedmont. The Dons defeated Piedmont 21-9 to earn their second NCS title in a row; their third in four years.

Despite a rebuilding year for Lamorinda softball programs, both Campolindo and Miramonte qualified for the NCS tournament. No. 12 Miramonte recorded .500 record (11-11) for the first time in years. Behind a new head coach, the Mats challenged No. 3 Terra Linda in the first round, losing a tight 2-3 game. No. 13 Acalanes (9-9) faced a tough San Marin team in the first round. The Dons fell 11-4.

The Lamorinda swimming tradition continued this girls' swim season. All three schools finished the NCS Swim and Dive meet in the top 10 out of 41 schools. Campolindo finished second overall with 197 points. Miramonte followed sixth with 116 point. Finally, Acalanes rounded out the tenth place finish with 84 points.

The girls' track and field programs had strong showings at the NCS tournament. Campolindo finished in eighth place to lead Lamorinda. Miramonte placed in 17th place, and Acalanes finished 20th. Campolindo's Brighie Leach reached the CIF State Finals in the 1600 meter run. Leach placed ninth in the state.
