The California Magic U10 East Girls soccer team had a great weekend at the Davis Legacy Super Clasico Tournament on Aug. 13-14 in Davis. Even with temperatures over 100 degrees, the team gave it their all, showing a lot of heart and grit.
"Our girls worked hard the whole tournament and I am proud of their individual performances and collective teamwork," said Coach Ramon Zambrano. With great passing, communication and teamwork the Magic girls moved on to play for third place overall. In the consolation game, the girls narrowly missed victory with a competitive opponent from San Ramon FC that ended in a 1-1 tie. In the end the Magic girls came up short, 4 goals to 5, in a nail biting PK shootout.
